AGV Wind-Down: Structured Transition & Return of Capital to the DAO Treasury
AI summary
This proposal seeks to wind down Arbitrum Gaming Ventures (AGV), a program that invested in consumer and gaming projects. The AGV team, along with other Arbitrum entities, believes this program no longer aligns with the DAO's current priorities. If approved, AGV will stop making new investments and return approximately 143.7 million ARB tokens to the DAO's treasury. AGV will continue to manage its existing portfolio until the end of 2026, with any additional surplus capital also being returned to the DAO.
If this proposal passes, the Arbitrum DAO will regain control of about $143.7 million worth of ARB tokens (based on current market prices), which can be reallocated to other initiatives. The AGV program will cease new investment activities, potentially impacting future gaming and consumer projects seeking funding within the Arbitrum ecosystem. The Arbitrum OpCo Foundation will oversee the wind-down process.
